Support for patients and families living with genetic conditions

23 September 2016

Academic research combines with clinical practice at King’s to support families affected by inherited genetic conditions.

Our research aims to bridge gaps between hard science and the reality of living with a genetic condition, and to give frontline health staff the skills to support patients and families and ensure their physical and psychological wellbeing to the highest level possible.

Professor Alison Metcalfe, Professor of Healthcare Research, Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery
